If these are Sage's jeans, why is Monkey wearing them? They are Sage's and Opice has them on because he hid them before the boy's family packed to go home after visiting.

Of course we didn't let Opice keep the purloined pants. We snail-mailed them home. (If only one could email objects.) It was a lesson hard learned, i.e. if you steal something and get caught you have to return it, which means standing in line forever at the post office. Monkey will never do that again! [Stand in line, pilfering I'm certain he'll try next time my back is turned. He has the stickiest paws!]

In Monkey's world no bad deed goes unrewarded. It wasn't a week later he found clothes in the thrift store that were almost as good as bluejeans: a Monkey Suit!
